Coaching Philosophy: I read somewhere that coaching is teaching. Therefore it is my responsibility to teach the game along with other attributes that will carry players throughout the rest of their life— trust, accountability, teamwork, leadership, responsibility, hard work, and sportsmanship.

Best Volleyball Moment: I once played against the USA National Deaf team.  Both Coach Chris and Coach Ben were there to help out.  Well, here I am playing MB against girls who are TOWERING over me.  At one point I turned to my ‘coaches’ and asked for blocking feedback.  In unison they both responded, “JUMP HIGHER!” Thanks, guys.

My Life in Sports: I started playing softball in 3rd grade, basketball in 7th grade and volleyball in 8th.  I continued to play all 3 throughout high school.  When I graduated I went to UD where I played club volleyball for a year. My coaching career started unexpectedly when I was asked to help out a friend at a local high school and fell in love with the game again. I also was an assistant basketball coach for a few seasons.  State Champs 2013 😉

When I’m not coaching volleyball… I am at home with my dogs, Keeva & Kalin and we are probably watching Netflix or sleeping.  Otherwise, I can be found with my twin nieces, Mia & Missy. During the day I work as an inside sales rep for CSC.  That’s right— I get paid to TALK to people!  On Saturday’s in the fall you can catch me in front of the TV singing Rocky Top.
